National Right to Life Endorses Senator Blackburn for Re-Election

October 14th, 2024

Brentwood, TN – National Right to Life recently endorsed U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn for re-election, citing her opposition to using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions and attempts to federalize abortion into law. They also cited her support for ensuring infants born alive during an attempted abortion are afforded the same degree of medical care as any other newborn of the same gestational age.

“Life is worth defending, and I am grateful for National Right to Life’s support of my campaign once again,” said Senator Blackburn. “Throughout my career, I have fought to protect the unborn and support mothers every step of the way. While the Left pushes radical proposals to allow abortions up until birth, I will keep up the fight and work with President Trump to restore the sanctity of life when he’s elected in November. ”

The endorsement from National Right to Life President Carol Tobias read, in part, “National Right to Life is pleased to endorse [Senator Blackburn] for re-election to the U.S. Senate. [She] is committed to standing up for unborn children and their mothers in the Senate and fighting against attempts by Senate Democrats to pass legislation allowing abortion nationwide for any reason until birth. We look forward to working with [Senator Blackburn] for another term in the Senate.”

National Right to Life endorsed Marsha Blackburn for U.S. Senate in 2018, when she defeated Governor Phil Bredesen, the last Democrat to win statewide, by nearly 11 points.
