Jackson, TN – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Clay Travis, OutKick Founder and Host of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, celebrated American Girls in Sports Day in Jackson, Tennessee yesterday.
Senator Blackburn has fought to designate October 10, X/X in Roman numerals, as American Girls in Sports Day to recognize the accomplishments of female athletes across the country. Senate Democrats recently blocked her effort.
“In just under four years, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and the radical Left have completely overhauled Title IX protections and erased equal opportunity for women in order to fit their woke narrative. They have made their position crystal clear: they are the party of forcing our sisters, daughters, and granddaughters to compete against and share locker rooms with men. Our female athletes deserve to be championed, not sidelined,” said Senator Blackburn.
“I never would have believed when I started writing and talking about sports 20 years ago that we would have a major conflict in this country over whether men pretending to be women should be able to win women’s championships,” said Clay Travis. “In a world where many public figures are too afraid to admit that women’s sports should only be made up of women, Marsha Blackburn is willing to stand for the truth and fight for it. A vote for Marsha in November is a vote to protect women’s sports.”
