BRENTWOOD, TN – Today, the Susan B. Anthony List, an organization dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates to reduce and ultimately end abortion, announced its endorsement of Marsha Blackburn for Senate.
"Marsha Blackburn is a tireless pro-life champion who never hesitates to go on offense on behalf of unborn children and their mothers,” said former U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs.“From fighting to hold Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses accountable for their role in the gruesome baby body parts trade, to protecting babies born alive in failed abortions and left to die, to keeping taxpayer dollars out of abortion industry coffers, she has lead the charge in so many important pro-life battles. SBA List is proud to endorse Marsha. Strong, courageous pro-life leaders like her are greatly needed in the Senate.”
"I am unapologetically 100 percent pro-life, and I'm grateful for the Susan B. Anthony List's support," said Marsha Blackburn. "As I always have, I will continue to stand up for unborn children and their mothers."
Marsha Blackburn served as chair of the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, tasked with investigating the role of Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses in the harvest and sale of aborted babies’ organs for profit. She has sponsored the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act as well as legislation to prevent taxpayer funding of abortion. In 2014, Blackburn was honored with SBA List's Distinguished Leader Award.
Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, knocking on more than 1.1 million doors in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 630,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
