Congressman Blackburn has been a staunch proponent of 2nd Amendment rights and continues to support the right of Americans to bear arms.
Blackburn received an “A” and the official endorsement from the NRA due to her strong opposition to gun control and weakening of our 2nd Amendment rights.
Congressman Blackburn has opposed any legislation attempting to allow the suing of gun manufacturers or sellers due to gun misuse. She supported legislation that prohibits the use of federal funding for the confiscation of lawfully purchased guns during a natural disaster or state of emergency.
She co-sponsored the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act as well as the NRA-supported bill to repeal the ban on guns in Washington, D.C.
